Point Score Rules
IRISH WOLFHOUND CLUB OF NSW CLUB POINT SCORE
The aims of the I.W.C. of NSW Point Score are:
- to encourage exhibition of Irish Wolfhounds; and
- to promote and arouse interest in the breed.
All financial members of the I.W.C of NSW are eligible to compete for any point score awards. Only Dogs NSW Championship Shows are eligible for inclusion in the Point Score competition – no ACT Shows
Presentation of awards gained from the year’s competition shall be made the following Easter.
A point shall be awarded for each Irish Wolfhound beaten, plus one point for each dog itself (baby puppies excluded). 1 point for each dog exhibited on the day
Signed catalogues to be sent to Sylvia Munro within 4 weeks of the date of the Show
Onus is on the exhibitor to ensure full results get to Sylvia.
Best 10 shows over the year to be counted for each dog exhibited.
Only 1 result counted for each dog exhibited under any one Judge in a year. (If any dog is exhibited under the same Judge on more than 1 occasion in a year, only the best result will count for that dog)
The awards given at the end of the year from points allocated at point score shows shall be:
a) Best Irish Wolfhound (dog or bitch)
(The dog with the highest number of points achieved at these allocated shows)
- Best Opposite Sex
(The opposite sex dog with the highest number of points achieved at these allocated shows)
- Puppy of the Year
(Awarded to the puppy that scores the highest number of points in the Baby/Minor/Puppy Classes at these shows)
- Sire of the Year
(Awarded to the dog, whose progeny has obtained the highest number of combined points, at these allocated shows)
- Dam of the Year
(Awarded to the bitch, whose progeny has obtained the highest number of combined points, at these allocated shows)
** Catalogues from Point Score shows MUST be fully marked and posted to the Point Score Officer within 30 days of the Show, if the Point Score Officer is not in attendance. Best of Breed winners are asked to do this.
